Our Technical Auditing Unit is accredited by ENAC for the inspection of accessibility in websites and apps

In today’s digital environment, it is essential that websites, mobile apps and digital platforms are accessible to all, regardless of user capabilities. Tech4access is at the forefront of the latest innovations, offering auditing and certification services to ensure that all of them are truly inclusive and comply with the current regulations of each country and region.

Everycode, with its independent Technical Audit Unit, has been accredited by ENAC (Spanish National Accreditation Entity) for digital accessibility, which is essential to ensure that digital products meet the highest standards of accessibility and usability.

What is ENAC accreditation for website and mobile application accessibility inspection?

ENAC accreditation is an official recognition that ensures that an organisation meets European and international standards of quality and technical competence to perform a particular type of inspection, in this case, accessibility inspections on websites and apps.

In the field of digital accessibility audits concerning this accreditation, this means  that inspections are carried out according to the European technical standard EN 301 549, which includes the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 level AA. In addition, this accreditation guarantees impartial and legally valid audits, providing confidence in the quality of accessibility services.

What does it mean for a company to be accredited by ENAC for the accessibility inspection of websites and apps?

An organisation that is accredited by ENAC in this field can perform accessibility audits with technical competence, impartiality and legal validity in over 100 countries. This process ensures that the reports on the digital assets of private and public organisations comply with international standards, current regulations and serves as a guarantee of digital accessibility compliance.

At Tech4access, we have a team of digital accessibility specialists certified by the W3C and IAAP. Our team includes consultants and developers who are experts in accessible technologies, and thanks to our collaboration with Everycode, they are now backed by a Technical Auditing Unit accredited by ENAC under the ISO 17020 standard.

This accreditation allows us to carry out web and mobile application accessibility inspections under the WCAG-EM and EN 301 549 technical standards, which are mandatory in the vast majority of national and international legal regulations, such as Directive (EU) 2016/2102, known as Web Accessibility Directive, the Directive (EU) 2019/882, known as the European Accessibility Act, the Royal Decree 1112/2018 (Spain), the RGAA (France), the “Ley Stanca” (Italy), the ADA (USA), Law No. 26.653 (Argentina) or Law 1712 of 2014 (Colombia), among others.

ENAC accreditation is valid in more than 100 countries, including the European Union, thanks to its membership of the IAF (The International Accreditation Forum) and EA (European Accreditation). In addition, Everycode is a member of the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) and actively participates in accessibility working groups, contributing to the development and proposal of recommendations in the global framework.

Our System for Integrated digital Accessibility (SIA®) offers certification with ENAC accredited accessibility inspection of websites and apps

At Tech4access we offer the System for Integrated digital Accessibility (SIA®), designed to comply with web accessibility regulations and ensure that people with disabilities can access the contents of your website and mobile applications.

The Tech4access SIA® includes several key steps, with the intervention of our ENAC accredited Inspection Unit in the final phase of certification:

  1. Preliminary analysis: identification of key accessibility areas, ensuring that digital content meets accessibility criteria.
  2. Technical inspection: elaboration of detailed technical audits by certified experts, assessing compliance with WCAG standards and relevant regulations.
  3. Consultancy and support: ongoing assistance to implement improvements and ensure compliance with standards. Tech4access provides customised solutions based on audit results and customer needs.
  4. Final certification: ensure that the platform meets the criteria for one of these two certifications based on the customer’s needs:
    • WCAG 2.1 level AA certification (without ENAC accredited inspection).
    • Certification with inspection accredited by ENAC under the technical standard EN 301 549, which ensures compliance with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

The SIA® is designed to ensure that digital platforms meet the highest standards of accessibility, in accordance with established criteria. This includes regular assessments, staff training and technology upgrades to ensure that digital platforms remain at the forefront of accessibility.
